The Boston Red Sox acquired switch-hitting outfielder Carl Everett via trade in December of 1999, a move which set in motion one of the most heated and vitriolic debates of our generation. See, he doesn't believe in dinosaurs. No, really. Carl Everett denies that they ever existed.
